Barbie Knocks 10 Kens Socks Off!

It has been at least 19 years since I've played or touch a Barbie doll, ever since my tall, naughty, cheeky, stubborn brother pulled all of my Barbies head off the body. Gosh! But not this time! ;) Haha.

My godsis' friend ordered a Barbie cake for her 9 y/o daughter, so, I did play with it for a while... No, not that kind of way. LOL. I tied her hair up, or at least I tried to make her hair look nicer than the way it came with the box. :)

Pink and Purple was the requested color for the cake (*dress*). I did not realized the front part of the hair was pink until I stuck the Barbie in the cake.

It was fun trying to come up with the dress design. LOL. She's definitely going to cause a lot of road accidents and ending up knocking a bunch of 'Kens' off the chair at the party she's attending!

Duckies Take the Cake!

Price: RM250

This cake is for a Full Moon Party for a baby boy! It's a Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese, covered with Fondant. Even the duckies, and the white fence. I've used the cream cheese to imitate the water on the second and the top tier to make it look like the duck is swimming. Hehe. I did sprinkled some blue sparkles on it as well. Dont worry, they're edible. :)

I have to say this is one of my favorite cakes I've made so far.

Cupcakes at Little Penang June 2009

Hey fellas, it has been a long weekend hasnt it? I was in total rush doing my faux cake on Friday night. I had a very very late/early sleep, woke up pretty late the next day before baking the whole day- WHOLE DAY - on Saturday. I ended up having backaches, sore feet and sore shoulders before going to bed. Honestly, I almost gave up on Saturday night from baking. ALMOST. But thankfully, my hubby gave me an extra push before i get working again. If you dont belive me, try baking 120+ cupcakes in a day, of 5 different flavors. Thank goodness I've pre-mixed the frostings and icings.. and of course, my dear friend See Yuen, came and help out with the boxes for the Ice Cream Cupcakes. Without her, I wouldnt be able to sell them. :) Thanks again dearie. ^^ You're the best!

Today at Little Penang was great! The weather was good, it rained for a while in the morning, but I take it as a good thing since it did helped taking off the heat.

Today was my first time making ice cream cupcakes, and all I have to say is that it was fun, I had a great time making those and you should see those who walked pass my booth. They actually thought it was real Ice Cream! Haha. It was funny. But of course I did point out that it is NOT ice cream. They're cupcakes!

Red Velvet Cupcakes

This is my first official cupcake order, as far as just one flavor with cream cheese swirls top with strawberry. (Thanks Emilia!)

She wanted Red Velvet coz she was craving for it, (although the cuppies weren't exactly for her, but I'm sure she's going to eat a couple of them) and her colleague likes fruits with her cake, and I came up with Strawberry topping, since it matches the color of the cake. Oh well..here's the picture. :)

I'm selling cupcakes again at Little Penang this month. So, save your date and make sure you come~! 

I might do sth different with the cuppies (if time allows). So let's hope I'll have the time to do that!  Faux cake will be displayed again, and no, it won't be the same as April's. I'm excited and nervous again - as usual. :)
